My name is Jasmine (hence the clever little JASercise thing) and on June 19, 2010 I saw a picture of myself with my family and realized I needed to change my life! Since then, I have lost 40lbs and plan to lose about 10-15lbs more. I have blogged throughout my journey to health and in the process have become quite obsessed with health and fitness for REAL people.
I’m not some muscled-up juice head, but I am a former college athlete who became obese once I stopped playing sports and started real life. At a previous 195lbs (at 5’5) I know what is like to have REAL issues with weight and I’m not sugarcoating how to lose it.
Throughout my blog I hold nothing back, I tell you exactly what I am doing to lose weight, I post pictures that are not-so-flattering, recipes, workouts regiments, calorie information and much more. I am never going to tell you that losing weight is easy or simple – and if someone does tell you that – They’re lying. If losing weight were easy, everyone would do it. It takes a lot of hard work, determination and drive and I want to help you find that within yourself.
I am by no means a certified fitness instructor but I am very well-versed in the health and fitness world. I have done numerous hours of research and recently started a masters program in health and nutrition promotion. And more than anything, I strive to lead by example!
